By 5:35 p.m., the fire was extinguished, and authorities said five to seven people were undergoing treatment for smoke inhalation.

Hundreds of park visitors and employees were stuck outside the structure unable to get to their cars until the evacuation ended after about two hours.

The Anaheim Police Department said nine cars were impacted by the fire at the Mickey and Friends parking structure, which has a capacity of 10,000 vehicles. Eight cars had major damage - four were a total loss - and a few more had minor damage, the department said in a tweet.

Darren Clark, whose family of four couldn't get to their vehicle because of the shutdown, told KNBC-TV: "A lot of people are just exhausted; they've been here all day". Police said the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and refused to be taken to the hospital. The damage caused by the blaze was estimated at $180,000.

Seven Disneyland employees were treated for smoke inhalation, the OC Register reports.

The fire occurred on Monday at 4:37 p.m. on the second floor of the six-story structure, City News Service reports. Foul play was not suspected as a factor, according to police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.

For most, the fire was just an inconvenience.
