British police are responding to three incidents across London following reports of a vehicle slamming into pedestrians on the London Bridge.

Multiple ambulances were sent to the scene with the first team arriving within six minutes, according to the London Ambulance Service.

A witness, who was doing a night photography class on London Bridge, said he saw the van veering on and off the pavement on the bridge.

He said the pub was then closed and armed police told them to leave the area.

Police also responded to reports of gunfire and stabbings at Borough Market.

The BBC earlier reported that "more than one" death in a terrorist attack after a vehicle hit several pedestrians on London Bridge.

British Transport Police said there were reports of "multiple" casualties following the major incident on the bridge. Iniitial reports had come in reporting trouble at a third site, in the Vauxhall area, but police later said it was unrelated to the first two attacks.

However, it is confirmed that emergency services have been dispatched to both London Bridge and Borough Market.

The bridge is in lock down and the area around it is closed with bus routes being diverted, as armed police and a bomb squad attend the scene and boats search the water.
