Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman released last Friday and it has been winning hearts all over the world.

Additionally, Wonder Woman's opening weekend box office is strong, and is set to break the record held by Fifty Shades of Grey's Sam Taylor-Johnson for biggest opening by a female director. Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman was also very impressive, which I wasn't surprised at as I loved her in Batman vs. Superman.

Just watching Gal Gadot in the movie proved just how powerful Wonder Woman is in a fight.

As one would expect then, the film is far lighter on easter eggs and nods to the comics than most superhero movies we see these days.

Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and is the fourth film in the DC Extended Universe. In 2015, only 1.9 percent of the year's largest grossing films were helmed by female directors, reported Maureen Down of the New York Times. The movie's viewers "skewed female (52 percent), nearly unheard for a superhero title, which usually draws an audience that is 60 percent male".

"There aren't any [deleted scenes] and that was actually the most frustrating thing when somebody made up the rumor that it was a mess and I was like 'Really? I can't wait to spring forward with who she is and have another great standalone superhero film". In fact, it had the sixth biggest non-sequel comic book movie opening ever. Now I want to make Wonder Woman 2. Lebanon banned the film because Gadot is Israeli. Hathaway reposted a photo post of Jessica Chastain posing with a Wonder Woman cover. "The story will take place in the US, which I think is right".

It is also thought that its worldwide box office opening will be around $200 million by close of business Sunday.

Speaking about the movie, the CEO of Blue Pictures, Joy Odiette said; "As far as this movie is concerned, we have a sure shot victor in our hands and our audience are going to love it". Let us know in the comment section below!
