Wednesday will likely see more showers and thunderstorms with a high near 83 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Three-quarters to one inch of rain possible. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 miles per hour in the afternoon.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies and a few rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible, with a high of 89 degrees. The Middlebush section of Franklin in Somerset County and South Bound Brook both picked up about a half-inch, according to the weather service. Continued chance of showers and thunderstorms, about 30 percent, in the evening with a low around 67.

A few showers are possible overnight with lows in the 60s.

Highs will be closer to 90 for Friday through next weekend.

This weekend will be hot, windy and mostly sunny.
